In January MyCareer.com.au attracted a record audience of 1,164,975 visitors (Unique Browsers) to the site.*
Since December last year, traffic to MyCareer grew by 62 per cent, well ahead of the 43 per cent market growth. “The online jobs market is a very competitive space to be in, so it’s great to be able to start the year so strongly. We have projections for continued traffic growth, so this is just the beginning for 2007”, said Lisa Watts, General Manager of MyCareer.
“Comparing figures from last January our traffic increased by 12 per cent. MyCareer’s audience is also quite unique; 43 per cent of our jobseekers actually didn’t visit Seek in January. Being part of the wider Fairfax Digital network means we tend to reach a wider audience of both active and passive candidates through our news, lifestyle and other classifieds sites.
“January is a peak time for job boards; we knew jobseekers would be out there in force. Finding a better job is a popular New Years resolution, so we wanted to ensure we attracted the largest possible slice of that market. Our current Dream Job campaign has certainly helped us attract new audiences in all states across Australia.
“We have many more exciting projects planned for 2007, particularly in this first half. Without a doubt it’s going to be a huge year for us.”
