Visual arts graduates have been successful in finding employment in a wide range of art related professions. As well as working as independent professional practitioners,
graduates can gain employment as curators and administrators in galleries, community and government organisations. Graduates in visual arts have also secured key roles in cultural policy development, cultural industries, public relations and tourism.
Employment prospects also include art teaching in government and private schools, and in the tertiary sector. Graduates are eligible to apply to enter the Postgraduate Diploma of Education (offered by Monash University), in addition to other postgraduate courses.
Course overview
The Bachelor of Arts (Art), will engage you in contemporary art practice through both practical and theoretical studies in art and in elective studies.
The program offers you extensive online learning resources with the opportunity to participate in weekly discussions and access a discussion facility. You will have access to an online art gallery image database, artwork submission guidelines and case studies.
