Graduates are able to forge careers in the film and television industry in administrative, marketing and creative roles, or creative and managerial positions in the communications industries.

Communications graduates will also be able to work in the marketing advertising industries, particularly in the area of public relations. The Bachelor of Communication will form the backbone to a successful, flexible career in communications.

Course overview

The Bachelor of Communication, Griffith University offers you the opportunity to develop key skills and knowledge essential to the media and communication industries. You will explore media research and analysis, film and media history including broadcasting policy, regulation, content critique, development techniques, screen production and new media settings.

This program offers multiple exit points. The Bachelor of Communication consists of 24 units. You have the option of exiting the program after only eight units to receive the Certificate in Journalism, Media Communications or Public Relations (depending on your major); or after sixteen units to receive the Diploma in Journalism, Media Communications or Public Relations.
