Industrial relations in business, government and social organisations are critical to the economic development and the well-being of society.
In particular, this area provides a set of understandings and skills to allow fair and effective management of people within organisations. This is particularly true today with industrial relations legislation placing more emphasis on individual workplaces reaching solutions for management and employees.

This program will enable you to develop a general understanding of the industrial relations environment, including theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the people and institutions in industrial relations (employees, employers, employer associations, unions, industrial tribunals and other bodies); and the processes used by those participants in negotiating and reaching decisions and the outcomes that arise.
