Course overview
The Policing, Terrorism and Counterterrorism Program is designed to equip students with the ability to respond to major security, policing and defence issues both locally and internationally. Students will gain rigorous training and knowledge in contemporary policing, intelligence and counterterrorism studies.
Students can study towards a range of qualifications. Students can exit the program after three units and receive the Graduate Certificate, after six units for the Graduate Diploma or complete eight units for the Masters program.
On completion of the Master of Policing, Terrorism and Counterterrorism, students will have:
- Developed an understanding of the contemporary issues and challenges in the areas of policing, intelligence, security and counterterrorism
- Attained knowledge and skills associated with developing responses to political, security and law enforcement threats
- A comprehensive understanding of the history of terrorism and policing
- Developed advanced skills and techniques in communication and research
