RMIT University is one of Australia's leading universities and has a long and proud tradition of delivering work-related education, and undertaking practical, relevant research that reflects business and community needs.
With more than 58,000 students, RMIT is one of Australia's largest universities and by far the largest dual-sector (TAFE and Higher Education) institution in the country. In 2003, RMIT had more than 3,500 students studying off-campus in Australia through distance education programs such as Open Universities Australia.

RMIT is an established leader in design, information technology, business communication, education, engineering, science and the life sciences. They also undertake cutting-edge applied research that results in real-world outcomes for industry and the community.
RMIT's three main campuses are in Melbourne's Central Business District, and the northern suburbs of Brunswick and Bundoora. RMIT also undertakes significant regional education activities in Hamilton and East Gippsland.
RMIT's curriculum is aligned to the demands of the global economy, and links with more than 190 universities and colleges around the world allow RMIT students and staff to participate in exchanges, study abroad programs, and cooperative teaching and research programs.
Through partner relationships and utilising online learning, RMIT University programs are delivered and awarded in 12 countries around the world, including Vietnam, home to the University's first international campus.
