Join our Graduate Development Program
The Department’s Graduate Development Program is delivered over a ten-month period and aims to equip you with the skills, experience and knowledge you need for a career in the Department and the Australian Public Service.
The key aspects of the program are:
• formal induction to the Department
• work rotations — placements in three different areas of the Department
• a structured training program comprising courses, workshops and a team project
• an interstate industry tour
• a specialised mentoring scheme providing guidance for work and career
• social and sporting opportunities.
Upon successful completion of the Graduate Development Program, you will be offered a permanent position in the Department.
