Energy AustraliaEnergy Australia

At EnergyAustralia, we’re proud of our 100 year history of providing the community with energy for life. And to continue our reputation for innovation, reliability and safety, we need talented electrical engineering graduates like you.

Opportunities and benefits

Our two year rotational development program has a choice of over 50 different positions — a great way to gain broad exposure to the many different engineering activities and careers across our dynamic organisation. The six month long rotations range from the highly technical to project management, to working with sustainable energy.
From day one you will be working in a genuine position with real responsibilities. You’ll enjoy a friendly, supportive work environment with many benefits, including an attractive salary and superannuation, flexible working conditions and study assistance.

Your development

Our investment in you is comprehensive, and starts with a one week induction. As part of your training, you’ll participate in a one week Leadership Camp. The residential program gives you the opportunity to solve problems creatively through experiential activities and to enhance your leadership and teamwork capabilities.

Your progress will be regularly reviewed, and you’ll be set objectives at the beginning of each rotation. Throughout the graduate program, mentors will assist you in developing your skills and in planning your career. Our graduates participate in a group development project, which improves your project management and team skills while focusing on a specific business issue outside your normal role. Project management training sessions are held to provide you with the essential tools to make a success of the project. Financial support to undertake relevant further studies is available.

Our requirements

You’ll have achieved strong academic results in your four year Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree, ideally with ‘power engineering’ electives. You’ll be asked to demonstrate your capabilities in the areas of leadership and teamwork, communication, creativity, innovation, self-motivation, delivering commercial results and being customer focused.
