The second issue of the Employment Forecast for 2007 reveals a labour market nearing full capacity. With the unemployment rate at 4.3% and the annual rate of jobs growth at 2.7% the future looks particularly bright for candidates. The industries and employment sectors at the receiving end of the resources boom are those most likely to be growing rapidly and include transport and storage, construction, property and business services plus the government sectors of education, health and defence which are all benefiting from increased government spending. We trust you find the information contained within the Fairfax Media Employment Forecast useful.
