How does Head Hunter work?

A range of employers use Head Hunter, as it allows them to connect with potential candidates for positions they have available. Often the best candidate for a position isn’t actively looking for a new position and Head Hunter allows employers to connect with both those currently seeking new employment as well as those that are not actively looking.

The employer tells Head Hunter what position they have available and details the requirements and criteria for each role.  Using the information you have provided during your online interview, Head Hunter matches candidates to a role, generating for the employer, a shortlist of potential candidates that satisfy their criteria and then it ranks the candidates in order of best fit.

What’s next? Will they contact me?

Typically, the employer uses the shortlist to seek out and connect with potential candidates for the role via Head Hunter.  Depending on your privacy settings, the employer may either contact you directly or email you via Head Hunter requesting you to release your information so that they can make contact with you.

Can I apply for a role in Head Hunter?

Yes, Head Hunter recognises when a position matching your skills and experience has been entered by an employer. We will then alert you via email about a role that we think you should consider.  You then have the ability to express an interest in that position which notifies the employer of your interest, or alternatively, you may call the employer in relation to the role.  You also have the option of indicating that you are not interested in the position.

Can I see who has been looking at me?

Each time you login to Head Hunter, you are able to view your Tracking Centre. This lets you see which employers have viewed you as a job match as well as who has viewed your resume, Professional Page and when.
